Remember when tissue boxes used to feature lame designs of kittens and sea shells? Or my personal favorite: dandelions!? I’m allergic to dandelions, for goodness sake. They’re the reason I have the tissue box in the first place.
But a couple of years ago, Shoppers Drug Mart got hip and designed some very cool tissue boxes. I have them. Nora has them. Turns out the folks at The Canadian Design Resource have them too.
Somewhere along the line, the tissue box went from being a dust collector to a designer home accessory. There’s no reason why cheap products can’t look cool.

(ps-Shoppers Drug Mart told me that they are retiring two of their striped tissue box designs in the new year (the other two will continue to sell.) So if you’ve got a favorite pattern, better snap it up now.
