Researchers have created a new variant of the highly contagious bird flu virus, H5N1. But it's raised fears that if released from the lab, it could be used as a lethal form of bioterrorism. Science writer Andrew Fazekas explains.

It's a dream week or space watchers. It's the annual meeting of the American Astronomical Society, the largest gathering of professional astronomers in the world. And that means we get to hear about scores of important space discoveries. Science Journalist Andrew Fazekas has word on three of the most significant ones.
