Political Panel: NB Power, Auditor General and Seats in Ottawa

Shift's political panel - Luc Desjardins, Lisa Keenan and Michael Camp - takes a look at the government's new Energy Policy that directs NB Power to buy electricity from big businesses and then sell it back to them for less. Also, the opposition in Ottawa raises questions about Mike Ferguson taking on the role of Auditor General because he's not bilingual, and 30 new seats in parliament.

Political Panel: French Immersion, NB Power and Municipal Commissions

It's been a big week for political news. On french immersion, the government announced yet another review and round of public hearings. As to NB Power, the utility was taken apart by one Tory government seven years ago, and now it appears it will be put back together again by another. And the auditor general issued a scathing report that targetted a Moncton commission for excessive spending. Shift's political panel - Lisa Keenan, Luc Desjardins and Michael Camp - sift through the issues.

Political Panel: The Economy, Welfare Debate and Liberal Renewal

The province may have gained 3-thousand jobs back in September, but the province's deficit projections are about 65-million-dollars higher than forcast back in March.  Finance Minister Blaine Higgs seemed to point his finger at the civil service, and he had some controversial comments about the social welfare system. Shift's political panel - Luc Desjardins, Michael Camp and Lisa Keenan - looks at the issues and the plans for a renewed Liberal Party.
