Leonard Cohen Contest!

oldideas.jpgIf you've listened to a Leonard Cohen song over the past, say, 50 years, no matter how much you loved it, I bet the lyrics had you wondering at some point. Very profound, yes. But what on earth is he talking about? Whole university courses have been devoted to the poetry and songs, but wouldn't it be wonderful if Cohen himself could provide the answers? At least that's what we were thinking as we came up with a great contest that could see you winning a pair of tickets to see Cohen in Saint John or in Moncton. If you haven't heard, Cohen is playing Harbour Station on April 15 and the Coliseum on April 17. Tickets go on sale on January 18, but CBC listeners can get them a day early through CBC Music. Just visit the CBC Music website for details. Here's the link. Or, you could win tickets right here! All you have to do is write or call and let us know which song you'd ask Leonard Cohen to explain if you got the chance to sit down and talk with the man himself. Tell us why, what your connection to the song is, and we'll play it! We'll put all the entries we receive into a draw for a pair of tickets to the show in Saint John or in Moncton. We'll be making the draw on Wednesday, January 16, so get those entries in. The deadline is the 16th at noon. Email them to, or call 1-855-ShiftNB.
