Use Of Government Aircraft Questioned

Premier David Alward made an announcement in Saint John yesterday morning - to reveal the names of those from the private sector who have agreed to help steer the new job creation body, Invest NB. But to emphasize the point, the Premier then flew to Moncton to make the same announcement... and then.... flew into the Charlo airport so he could make the announcement again in Campbellton. The three city tour involved several trips in the government aircraft and raised the question of whether,in a time of government restraint, a more frugal approach to the announcement might have been warranted. The CBC's Robert Jones has been looking at that issue.
