This region includes the two expansive northern ridings of Athabasca and Cumberland with a southern border bookend of the Saskatchewan River. It includes Lloydminster on the western Alberta border and Saskatchewan Rivers on the eastern boundary. The region includes the City of Prince Albert and Meadow Lake constituency.

The South Saskatchewan River runs along the southern boundary of this region with the constituencies of Kindersley and Rosetown-Elrose in the east extending northeast to the constituency of Carrot River Valley. The region is bordered in the north by the Saskatchewan River, which runs through the constituencies of Cut Knife-Turtleford, Rosthern-Shellbrook and Batoche. Other constituencies included are Martinsville, Humboldt, Melfort, the Battlefords, Biggar and Arm River Watrous.
