Candidates:

  NDP: Lon Borgerson
  SASK: Daryl Wiberg
  Liberal: Cliff Rose
  NGA: Gerald Regnitter

Current MLA: The boundaries have changed since the last election. Daryl Wiberg (Sask) is the MLA for Saskatchewan Rivers. Dennis Allchurch (Sask) is the MLA for Shellbrook-Spiritwood.

Constituency Profile: Riding in NW Saskatchewan, has an economy based primarily on mixed farming, forestry, honey production, sod farming and tree nurseries.The Weyerhauser mill is located at Big River. The Prince Albert National Park is located in this constituency, making tourism another major industry.

Major communities include: Big River.

 

 

Political History: The boundaries have changed since the last election. The Saskatchewan Rivers constituency now includes some polls from the Carrot River Valley and Shellbrook-Spiritwood ridings. Saskatchewan Rivers was a new constituency in 1995.
