Family Day Mini BOW Culture Days Festival
Royal Saskatchewan Museum
Saturday, September 29, 2012
10 AM - 4 PM

 

 

Join Jill Smith, host of CBC News Saskatchewan at 5:00 and Craig Lederhouse of CBC Radio One's The Afternoon Edition at the Family Day Culture Days Festival at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum!  Visit the CBC Performance stages and say hello to Lunar Jim from Kids' CBC!  Bring your family for a free day of cultural activities, concerts and performances, and workshops inside and out, including:

 

A Kids' CBC Artzooka craft tent, megabouncers, face painting, ballooon sculpting, and make your own musical instrument crafts, as well as food vendors.

 

In addition to the stages, the festival will also feature the following cultural groups and activities for the whole family including:
 
- Kindermusik worshops
- The Uganda Canadian Association of Saskatchewan Drummers - UCAS cultural dance and drumming group members interacting and sharing their cultural heritage and diversity
- The Regina Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players - educational and interactive concert for kids
- Greg Ochitwa - hip hop workshop for youth
- Greg Mildenberger and Trent Leggott - blues and guitar workshop
- Joseph Naytowhow - renowned singer/songwriter, storyteller and performer
- Roberto Lopez Lopez - commissioned interactive art
- Music Awareness, Education, and Interaction
- SaskCulture Organizations
- Instrument exploration
- Performances by Western Canadian Music Award nominees
