CBC Television's Queen Elizabeth in 3D - September 20
On Monday, September 20th CBC Television will make Canadian broadcasting history. Queen Elizabeth in 3D is the first 3D documentary to be broadcast in Canada. This documentary takes a look back at the Queen's history including never before seen 3D colour footage of the Queen's Coronation in June of 1953. Viewers will also get to see behind the scenes of the Queen's recent Royal Tour and a very exclusive garden party at Buckingham Palace.

Reclaiming Space and Spirit - October 4th
Come together in beauty and strength of numbers to honour the missing and murdered women in our province. Joining more than 70 communities across the country in raising awareness -- October 4th is an important day to mark and call people to action. Beginning at 4:00 pm at the CBC galleria (corner of broad street and college) people are encouraged to visit an engaging art installation, take part in a collaborative soul (sole) painting led by Shelley Plosz; paint banners, listen to drumming by the Rainwater Singers, enjoy chili and bannock, and visit the tables of several organizations in the community who are doing more to raise awareness.
CBC's Clean Out For Kids Campaign a Huge Success!
CBC Saskatchewan thanks everyone who donated to our Clean Out For Kids campaign this year. Between Regina and Saskatoon nearly 10 pallets of new and gently used school supplies were collected for needy kids. All of the school supplies are distributed to the schools by the Regina & District Food Bank and the Saskatoon & District Food Bank. Members of the public, organizations and CBC employees kindly brought in tons of great items for back-to-school including binders, backpacks, paper, pencils, crayons, markers and much more.
CBC Saskatchewan presents Jason Plumb in concert - September 25
Join CBC Saskatchewan for this unique and intimate concert on September 25 in Regina. Admission is free to see this one-of a kind Saskatchewan artist. From his early days as the frontman for the Juno-award winning band 'The Waltons' to his more recent years as a solo artist, Jason Plumb has consistently been one of Saskatchewan's biggest musical ambassadors to Canada - both as songwriter and performer. He's been an important part of the Canadian musical landscape for the past 20 years.
CBC Saskatchewan presents Jazz Manouche - October 1
CBC Saskatchewan and Radio-Canada are proud to present an evening of gypsy jazz performed by two amazing groups on Friday, October 1st, 7:30 PM at The Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon. The two acts represent both English and Francophone musicians with roots on the prairies and in Quebec. The Hot Club of Edmonton is a group of four spirited players mainly from the Alberta capital. Christine Tassan & les Imposteures are an all-female gypsy jazz and vocal ensemble from Montreal. Tickets are available in advance for $15.00 at the Box office and by calling (306) 652-6556 or at the door for $19.00.
CBC Saskatchewan presents Rah Rah in concert September 24
Come join Saskatchewan Weekend host Candace Holmstrom on Friday, September 24th as CBC Saskatchewan kicks off our Culture Days celebrations with a free concert featuring Rah Rah, one of Regina's hotest pop bands. Concert takes place at TV Studio 2 in the CBC Regina Broadcast Centre at 2440 Broad Street. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00pm. Seating is limited and is available on a first come first served basis.
CultureFete: Create, Discover, Celebrate the World in Saskatchewan- September 25
Join CBC Saskatchewan and your partners in the community to celebrate Culture Days with an outdoor festival in Regina on Saturday, September 25 from noon to 4 PM. We are celebrating the rich diversity and vibrant culture of this province. Come to the front lawn of CBC Broadcast Building at 2440 Broad Street in Regina to experience dance, music, literature, art, food and fun from around the world. CultureFete's main stage will feature some of the province's most talented artists including: singer-songwriter Jason Plumb, Arkadia, Denique Leblanc, hoop dance Irene Oakes and performer Ramses Calderon. There are also plenty of things to keep you and your family busy including face painting, origami, sidewalk chalk art, word wire art, interactive photo projects and more!
