A native of Moscow, Russia, Elena Lobsanova trained at Canada's National Ballet School and joined the company in 2005. She was promoted to First Soloist in 2011.
Lobsanova's repertoire includes The Seagull, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Theme and Variations, Apollo, Serenade, Symphony in C, The Four Seasons and West Side Story Suite.
She has created roles in the world premieres of Pur ti Miro and Watch her and danced in the company premieres of Balanchine's Don Quixote, Chroma and Russian Seasons. Lobsanova also performed in the North American premiere of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
Lobsanova won The Eighth International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize in 2009 for her performance of Dénouement and a pas de deux from Le Corsaire.
