Brendan Saye was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. He trained at Canada's National Ballet School and in 2008, became a YOU dance Apprentice. Mr. Saye joined The National Ballet of Canada in 2009.
Saye's repertoire includes The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Onegin, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, The Four Seasons, Opus 19/The Dreamer, In The Upper Room, Glass Pieces and West Side Story Suite. He also performed in the North American premieres of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Chroma and The Seagull.
While a student at Canada's National Ballet School, Saye was the recipient of both the Peter Dwyer Award and the Christopher Ondaatje Prize.
