Something to Say- Black Comics

From September 1969, an hour with three black comics. It was time when change was in the air not only in music, politics and race relations, but also in comedy. Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx were starting to make their mark on humour, crossing racial barriers in the process.

This program is from the series Something to Say, and it features three comedians- first Redd Foxx, and then two relative newcomers- Stu Gilliam and Godfrey Cambridge. One note- some language that was common in 1969 sounds dated to our ears.
