It was hosted by the acerbic and confrontational theatre critic Nathan Cohen and had a simple premise: listeners send in controversial quotations and the panellists discuss them. Cohen presided over the spirited arguments of prominent Canadian thinkers, artists and intellectuals, such as Pierre Trudeau, Irving Layton, Robertson Davies, Norman Mailer, Peter Ustinov and many more.
