About Us

Every week on CBC Radio One, and every day on Sirius XM 169, Rewind host Michael Enright delves into more than 75 years of CBC Radio history. Rewind opens a window on the past, but it does more than that. It uses the CBC Radio Archives as a tool to help listeners understand how our past informs our present.

Rewind has aired special programs after the deaths of Canadian icons- Kate McGarrigle, Stompin' Tom Connors and Rita MacNeil. We have listened to voices from CBC Radio's past hosts- Max Ferguson, Alan Maitland, Barbara Frum and Peter Gzowski. Rewind has put modern day people and events in historical context, with shows that look at the history of AIDS, the legacy of Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau or feminist pioneer Betty Friedan. .We've also had fun with awkward radio moments, musical hootenannys and comic books.

Tune in to Rewind every day on Sirius XM 169 or every Thursday afternoon on CBC Radio One.
