The fifth estate continues its award-winning investigative journalism in its 38th season with hosts Bob McKeown, Linden MacIntyre and Gillian Findlay. Last year the fifth estate delivered hard-hitting episodes including: Truth and Lies: The Last Days of Osama bin Laden, which revealed new information that challenged the official story of the mission to shoot and kill the world's No. 1 terrorist; Scout's Honour, which looked into sexual abuse throughout Scouts Canada; Behind the Line, which investigated sexual abuse in the RCMP and the inside story of women officers who claim Canada's pre-eminent police force failed to protect them; and The Wreck of the Costa Concordia, a minute-by-minute reconstruction of the Italian cruise ship disaster with first-hand accounts from the survivors and the rescuers, along with the stories of those who perished.

The fifth estate's season finale was a first for the network with a live and interactive episode that recreated a real-life kidnapping that allowed viewers to vote on what they would do at various steps throughout the investigation.
For almost four decades, the fifth estate has continued its tradition of offering viewers compelling, in-depth stories and fast-reaction investigations into ongoing events driven by unparalleled storytelling, production value and journalistic skill. The program digs deep into issues and subjects of public significance here in Canada and internationally, continuing to tell gripping human stories.
