Sep 13, 2012For one night only, CBC's Rick Mercer appears at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre in celebration of his new book "A Nation Worth Ranting About" - Monday, September 17
September 12, 2012 - Not many people can go off on a rant about their country and what makes it worth laughing at, grousing about, and shaking our heads over - and yet remind us why it's worth treasuring, warts and all. But few people are Rick Mercer.
The star of CBC-TV's award winning RICK MERCER REPORT, Rick takes to the stage at Toronto's venerable Princess of Wales Theatre for one night only on Monday, September 17 to celebrate the release of his new book, "A Nation Worth Ranting About."
Rick will be introduced by special guest George Stroumboulopoulos and poke and prod at our institutions, reveal hypocrisy at the highest reaches of power and draw attention to our hardworking, unsung heroes. He will make you laugh at, question, think about, and, most of all, appreciate this glorious country we all share. Tickets are available through www.mirvish.com - and proceeds will go to support Mercer's favourite charity, www.spreadthenet.org which helps protect children in developing nations from the threat of malaria.
