Families are forking over small fortunes in fees, and some have no idea how much they're paying with all their accounts, cards and loans. In Busting the Banks, MARKETPLACE gives Canadians the tips they need to save money and reveals the sneaky ways banks are gouging us with their fees, helping them make record profits in 2012.

MARKETPLACE goes undercover with hidden cameras in the big five banks to test how up front they are about bank fees. Canadians feel the banks are ripping them off, and Erica Johnson reveals how they're doing it in the fine print. It seems that every Canadian has a story to tell, so we call in an insider from the world of finance who was a Bay Street player for the big financial firms. He tells us that banks are making hundreds of millions of dollars a year from Canadians in bank fees alone... Our banks need to be busted, and MARKETPLACE is on the case.
