ANOTHER TOUGH LOSS FOR CANUCKS; ANOTHER RATINGS BONANZA FOR CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA

An average audience of 5.3 million Canadians watched the Bruins down the Canucks 4-0

Canadians can't get enough of this emotional Stanley Cup Final series, and continue to watch CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA in record numbers.

An average audience of 5.3 million Canadians witnessed Vancouver's 4-0 loss to the Bruins in last night's Game 4.  That's just shy of the 5.6 million who tuned in to the first two games in Vancouver, and the 5.4 million who watch the 8-1 Boston win in Game 3.

The game also delivered amazing ratings in the key 25-54 demo, with an average audience of 2.4 million.

"The home teams have held serve, and now it's a best-of-three to determine the Stanley Cup champion," said Alan Dark, CBC's Executive Director of the revenue group. "The series continues to draw massive ratings, no matter the score of the game.  We're guaranteed a Game 6 now, and can only imagine the audiences that a Game 7 might produce."

Game 5 sees the series return to Vancouver tomorrow night at 8 pm ET.
