CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA enters its milestone 60th regular season as the longest running and most influential program in Canadian television history.
Last season, CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA continued to set the standard in hockey broadcasting excellence with record-breaking audience numbers in the regular season, as well as many of the franchises marquee events like the Tim Hortons 2012 NHL All-Star weekend and Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada.
CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA 2012-2013 schedule includes special events such as: NHL Faceoff 2013; the 2013 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, featuring an outdoor game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings; the 2013 NHL All-Star SuperSkills competition; the 60th NHL All-Star Game from Columbus, OH; grassroots initiatives like the 13th annual Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, featuring all seven Canadian NHL teams, and Kraft Hockeyville.
Mainstays of CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA broadcasts continue, including Coach's Corner with the legendary Don Cherry. It will be his 33rd season behind the bench alongside long-time host Ron MacLean, who also starts the evening with pre-game show Scotiabank Hockey Tonight. The Hotstove and After Hours round out the program's full night of hockey.
