Toronto, April 8 - Once again, CBC was well represented at the 7th annual 2011 Sponsorship Marketing Awards last night, taking home two major wins for their innovative marketing and sponsorship activities.

CBC was honoured with two awards at yesterday's conference:
MEDIA SPONSORSHIP - activation of sponsored programs experienced primarily via media such as broadcast, print, online, etc.
• Award of Distinction - Ford Fiesta and CBC - Being Erica
SUSTAINED SUCCESS - three or more consecutive years' duration
• Gold - Kraft Hockeyville 2010
"These awards demonstrate the excellence and creativity of both the CBC team and our partners," said Alan Dark, Executive Director, CBC Revenue Group. "The challenge now is to develop even more creative and innovative sponsorship activities for the coming season. The good news is, our team is up to the task."
The Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada's Sponsorship Marketing Awards (SMAs) recognize companies that have maximized their investments in sponsorship marketing by developing creative leveraging strategies that meet business objectives.
