A young teen mom, Alia started selling drugs as a teenager to make money. Her small operation expanded into a rented house where she employed addicts to distribute her product. During this time, she had assaulted several individuals to assert her power - which contributed greatly to her success in the business. When she was caught, she was even classified as Maximum Security - despite her slight frame. Eventually she was arrested and served over 44 months in prison. It was there she got to know many women battling drug addiction. Alia had never touched hard drugs herself, but she now realized the role she had played in the downfall of many people and swore off dealing. In prison, she studied and worked in landscaping, which is where she developed her business idea to start a landscaping and snow-removal company that employs women who have gone through the corrections system.
