Revisiting the flu vaccination debate

A new commentary in the Canadian Medical Association Journal says concerns over the efficacy of the flu vaccines means it should NOT be made mandatory for health professionals to have the vaccine.

Guest host, Kathryn Marlow, talked to Dr. Brian Goldman about this. He previously advocated in favour of mandatory vaccination of health professionals.

Filmmaker documents caribou's demise

The documentary Billion Dollar Caribou airs on the CBC's The Nature of Things.

A new documentary airing on CBC's the Nature of Things explores how the battle over the future of the boreal forest and caribou in Alberta is raising tough questions about the place of wildlife in our world.

Filmmaker, Catherine Legge, spoke about her film, Billion Dollar Caribou with guest host, Kathryn Marlow.

Kelowna's Rail with Trails path gets an extension

The current section of Kelowna's Rails with Trails path runs next to the train tracks along Clement Avenue.

Kelowna's Rail with Trails path is a nice ride but it doesn't really go anywhere. But after five years of delays, that is about to change now that the provincial and federal governments are providing close to $3 million for an extension.

Kelowna's mayor, Walter Gray, told guest host Kathryn Marlow, all about it.
