How to prevent conflicts with bears
Every year, hundreds of bears are destroyed in B.C., because of "conflicts" with people. Most agree, these "conflicts" are not the fault of the animals. The problem is people who leave out food and garbage that attracts bears who are searching for a meal.
Rebecca spoke with Frank Ritcey, the provincial Bear Aware co-ordinator with the B.C. Conservation Foundation.
