Best local beer
For today's hot topic, we asked about your favourite local beers. Several of you said your (or your husband's, or friend's) home brew is best, but we also got shout-outs for these beers and breweries:
Sorrento's Crannog Ales (especially the Back Hand of God stout).
Revelstoke's Mt. Begbie Brewing Company (especially the Tall Timber Ale, Nasty Habit IPA, and Knocker Bock (if you can find it on tap).
Penticton's Cannery Brewing (especially the Naramata Nut Brown Ale).
Nelson Brewing Company (especially Nelson After Dark).
Vancouver's Granville Island Brewing
Victoria's Phillips Brewing Company (especially the Hoperation Triple Cross, Longboat Chocolate Porter, and Hop Goblin IPA).
Victoria's Driftwood Brewing Company
And a new kid in town: Scandal Brewing
Non-BC recommendations: Lost Coast Brewery (Tangerine Wheat Ale), Russian River Brewing (Pliny the Elder), and Bridgeport Brew (Hop Czar).
