Company committed to rebuilding Burns Lake mill
It's been a tragic few of days in Burns Lake. Two people were found dead after an explosion tore through the Babine Forest Products Mill on Friday evening. Another 19 millworkers are still recovering from injuries. Some 250 people who worked at the now levelled mill, are off the job.
This week, officials with the company that owns the mill flew to Burns Lake to see the damage for themselves. Steve Zika is the CEO of Hampton Affiliates and spoke to Rebecca after he returned from Burns Lake.
