Invermere baby born in pickup truck

Tom and Melissa Altmann were en route to the hospital, when Melissa went into labour. She delivered the baby in the front seat of their Ford F1-50. The couple thought long and hard about what to name their newly born son, and as you'll hear in this story, they came up with the perfect fit.

Kelowna's 7 year old singing sensation

7-year-old Laura Close has been singing since she was 2. Close dreams of being a star, singing and dancing on stages around the world. Her mother has already posted four videos of her on YouTube. Radio West's Rebecca Zandbergen stopped by Laura's singing lesson this week.

A new book explores the life of a rather mysterious woman who spent many years of her life in Nelson. The story begins simply in 1875 with the birth of Annie Garland Foster. From the outside, she seemed like a productive member of society: but there may have been a much darker side.

Nelson Author Frances Welwood uncovers Annie's many secrets in her new book, Passing Through Missing Pages: The Intriguing Story of Annie Garland Foster. She joined Rebecca to talk about the book.
