Gjazz will be on tap at the Beaches International Jazz festival which begins July 20th.

Among those performing will be Toronto's Blackburn.

It's a band of three brothers whose music is a blend of traditional blues, R&B, soul and electrified with an urban vibe.

The brothers have played or recorded with Liberty Silver, Eugene Smith, Betty Richardson, and Choclair--just to name a few.But they'll be playing a solo gig at the Beaches Jazz Fest on July 20th

You've likely heard about that clean sweep for Canada in the Wimbledon junior finals this weekend.

First Quebec's Eugenie Bouchard made history as the first Canadian to win a junior Wimbledon -- the title in singles...

Then on Sunday Filip Peliwo won the boys junior singles title.

There's been a lot of investment in both players...

They've been training at the Tennis Canada National Tennis Centre in Montreal.

Eugene Lapierre is the Vice President of Professional Tennis in Quebec with Tennis Canada.

He says the centre is part of a strategy to make Canada one of the top nations in tennis:

The drama on the tennis courts of the world got a lot of people in a sporting mood. And of course, we are counting down to the Olympic Games in London, now just weeks away.

Here in Toronto we're look ahead to another major international sporting event as well. But THIS countdown is a bit on the long side. 1, 095 days to be exact.

That's when the Pan American/Parapan American games will kick off in Toronto.

Tomorrow, the three year countdown begins with a launch of cultural events tied to the games.

Along with the people...there will be pianos...41 of them...at David Pecaut Square...each painted to represent the participating countries at the games.

There will also be a flag raising and concert at Nathan Philips Squarre, where Mayor Rob Ford will raise the Pan Am games flag.

Local artist Kardinal Offishall will be among those performing at tomorrow's launch. We played his classic Let's Ride-- performed by Kardinal Offishal and Choclair.

Some of the biggest movie awards in the world were handed out this weekend.The International Indian Film Academy Awards honoured the best of Bollywood.

The big winner was Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara....which won several awards including best story, best director and best picture.
