Canada Post - "junk mail"
A lot of people opt out of receiving "junk mail" with their Canada Post mail deliveries - but now the post office is updating that program. Notices have been sent to those households. And even though you still don't want those flyers and coupons, you may find yourself opting back in. Anick Losier is a spokesperson for Canada Post. She's on the line from Ottawa, and speaks with host Ramona Dearing.

Yet another senator is in the news today. This time one from Newfoundland and Labrador. Conservative Elizabeth Marshall chairs the committee that oversees the selection of senators for various committees. For her efforts, she gets just over 11-thousand dollars a year. But the Huffington Post says the committee met only once in the past two years. And that was only for 15 minutes. We reached Elizabeth Marshall in Ottawa this morning.
Scholarship Winner
Zoe Wilkins of Clarke's Beach, Conception Bay North, will travel all the way across Canada to finish high school. She's just been named the winner of the Lester B.Pearson Scholarship for Nfld and Labrador. And it means a total of 80-thousand dollars. We've got Zoe on the line during her lunch break at Ascension Collegiate.
