Con O'Brien on Sam 'The Record Man'

He was known to most Canadians as Sam the Record Man.  Sam Sniderman was a giant in the music industry.  During his lifetime, he built up a chain of record stores across the country.  Sam Sniderman died on September 23 at the age of 92.  He mentored hundreds of Canadian musicians, Including Con O’Brien of the Irish Descendants.  Con speaks with host Ramona Dearing.

We’re asking you if those games were as exciting as hockey gets.  Our guests on the show:  In Corner Brook, Bob Marshall, Who played for the Corner Brook Royals when they won the Herder cup in 1962, and Who later went on to become the president of the Corner Brook Junior hockey league. In St. John’s, Doug Wright. Lawyer by day, huge hockey fan 24-7.  Up until earlier this year, he was a director of the St. John’s Minor Hockey Association, and he ran the Atom and Pee Wee hockey leagues, and has coached as well.  We are also joined by long-time radio host Bas Jameison, who was at the final game of the series.
