Fundraiser in Botwood for mother-to-be

There's a fundraiser in Botwood on August 24 for a mother-to-be who is dealing with a very serious case of cancer.  Sarah Lights and her husband moved to Botwood from Toronto last year, and now the community is rallying to help them at such a difficult time.  Sarah Lights worked as a bartender at The Landing Pub in Botwood until she got sick.  Her boss is pub owner Karen Hayter, Who is organizing the benefit concert on Friday.  Host Ramona Dearing speaks with Karen.  For more info: Link

Grand Seduction It's lights, camera, action in New Bonaventure right now. The town is the main set for the movie The Grand Seduction - an English remake of a popular comedy from Quebec.  The film features a who's who of Canadian actors.  Including Taylor Kitsch, Mary Walsh, Cathy Jones, and the one and only Gordon Pinsent.  He speaks with the CBC's Emily Brass about his role in the film.
