A study published today in the journal Nature provides new insight into Multiple Sclerosis. It studied sixteen thousand MS patients worldwide to try to better understand the genetic basis of the disease. The study comes as many Canadians with MS continue to pin their hopes to the Zamboni treatment, which is based on a belief that MS is caused by blocked veins in the neck. Dr. David Halfer is one of the authors of the study published today. He is the chair and chief of the Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale School of Medicine.
