Employment programs cut
On Friday, the provincial government announced it's cutting funding to 40 groups in Nfld and Labrador that's being used to help people find jobs. Those groups include the John Howard Society, the Community Education Network and the Celtic Business Development Association. The government says it will re-invest the 14-million dollars into services such as training to develop skills. The opposition Liberals are speaking out again the cuts. She's also heading up a multi-province project about Canadian Regional Development.
