Coming Up on Crosstalk: Tues March 15, 2011
People gathered in Bishop's Falls last week to complain about woodcutting regulations. They used to get free permits to cut on Abitibi land. But now that it's been expropriated, the province subjects them to the same rules as everyone else. Which leads to our question: Should people in Central Nfld have to pay for permits to cut firewood on the old Abitibi land? Ramona's guest is Gonzo Gillingham of Bishop's Falls, who says people who just want to get a bit of firewood for their homes are being over-regulated to the extreme.
