Conservatives spending practices - in the 2006 federal election.

nl-downey-cynthia-20080422.jpgCynthia Downey ran unsuccessfully for Conservatives in the riding of Random-Burin-St. George’s - in the 2006 federal election. During the election, the national conservative party put money into her campaign account. She thought she’d won the jackpot … because her campaign could use the money. A few days later her officials were told the money had to be transferred back to national party headquarters. Ms Downey had a problem with that. And so did Elections Canada.
