Quebec decorations controversy
Radio Noon hears about a Service Canada email telling employees to keep public areas devoid of Christmas decorations. The email does allow employees to decorate their private work spaces.
Most of our callers disagree with the directive, including several people from non-Christian faiths. But we also hear from a few who support the move and one who lauds it for environmental reasons.

The anti-decoration email was raised in the House of Commons on Friday. After our program was off the air, the federal minister responsible for Service Canada overrode the Quebec memo - clearing the way for Christmas trimmings in public areas.
