You heard him make the call on today's show - Rich loves vanilla milkshakes and he has searched the world over for the best one. He's come close in places like NYC and Australia, but he's still looking for the best Canadian vanilla milkshake - can you help him out? Where should he go?

Get out your pots and pans and grab something drumstick-like…the boys of Elliott Brood are going to be in the Drive studio, and they love it when people crash along to their songs with homemade percussion! The constantly touring trio serve us up some laughs and great tunes you won’t want to miss.

Today on Drive, we're doing what everyone is doing today - cranking up the vintage Michael Jackson and reveling in the complete awesomeness of his contribution to popular music. Did you know he was only 11 when he recorded that wicked vocal on the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back". 11 years old, and the pipes of a pro. You'll hear that song on Drive today, along with other classic MJ tunes that celebrate his incredible musical legacy. Also, guest host Kelly Cutrara will continue to bring you great new Canadian tunes and stories to get you to the weekend.

20 years ago, a little Toronto band helped start the alt-country revolution in this country. We're talking about Skydiggers, who alongside Cowboy Junkies and Blue Rodeo really gave the Canadian music scene the roots-rock injection it needed, and helped pave the way for the slew of alt-country bands that came after - most of who we play on Drive! Well we're happy to say that the boys will be in the Drive studio to talk with guest host Kelly Cutrara about their new retrospective CD and play a couple of their gorgeous melodies.

For the next month, the lovely and talented Kelly Cutrara will slide into Rich's chair to bring you great music and stories.
Rich has gone home to Halifax for the month, visiting with his brand new baby neice, breathing in the sea air, and recording his latest album - because aside from hosting Drive, he's also Buck 65.
We're happy to have Kelly with us for the next month! Kelly is a star Associate Producer on Drive, and she's been a broadcaster for over 10 years all over Canada and in all kinds of genres (she's hosted on classic rock, alternative, and talk-radio to name a few). So sit back and enjoy!
Don't forget to tune in tomorrow too - we have the Skydiggers live in the studio!! You know, it was 20 years ago they helped start the alt-country revolution in this country. Alongside Cowboy Junkies and Blue Rodeo, Skydiggers really gave the Canadian music scene the roots-rock injection it needed, and helped pave the way for the slew of alt-country bands that came after - most of who we play on Drive! Well we're happy to say that the boys will be in the Drive studio to talk with guest host Kelly Cutrara about their new retrospective CD and play a couple of their gorgeous melodies. You can also catch them in concert Thursday night on Canada Live.

You name it, he plays it. Michael Jerome Brown is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and teacher - comfortable writing and playing acoustic or electric blues, old-time country or Cajun. You can't just pigeonhole him as a bluesman...he's got it all covered - his soulful voice, incredible guitar playing, and the from-the-heart lyrics written by his wife (fun fact!) B.A Markus. We're thrilled to have him in our studio today. You should check out his latest album This Beautiful Mess (we are big fans), and if you're in Southern Ontario this weekend, stop on by the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival, where you can catch Michael on Sunday on the Acoustic Stage.

Ah, the first of June. Here at Drive, we don't know where the time has gone! Did you know it's been 9 months since we first went on air? It's been an amazing ride. And things are gonna keep on keepin' on around here. More great discoveries in Canadian music every day, all summer long.
Later this week, on Friday actually, we'll have Michael Jerome Browne drop by the studio. You name it, he plays it. He's a multi-instrumentalist, composer and teacher - comfortable writing and playing acoustic or electric blues, old-time country or Cajun. We can't wait to see what he cooks up when he drops by the Drive studio for an intimate solo performance. Don't miss it!

A Royal Wood song is romantic and sweet, but with a tinge of melancholy. We just adore him, and we've got the Drive studio piano all tuned up for him as he drops by to play us some new songs from the recently released Lost and Found EP and chat about all things Royal.
