Ode to the T-Shirt
Cleaning out my dresser this weekend and I came across the pile of old, faded, stretched out t-shirts that I can't possibly part with. My favourites. I hardly wear them anymore, because I don't want them to deteriorate any more than they already have! But I love them.
My favourite is from the first television job I had on The New Music at CityTV in Toronto. When the box of shirts arrived at the office, my co-host Daniel Richler and I immediately cut the arms off. Too cool for school. It's a collector's item now.

Next, the 45 single adaptor. Can't tell you how many times I've worn this t-shirt and had people looking at my chest and saying "wait a minute, I recognize that". (The record adaptor, not my chest.)
Then there's the t-shirt I got when from my sister when we started The Signal. It says Brown Sound. Which is uber cool, until you've seen the episode of South Park about brown sound, then you can't really wear the t-shirt anymore.
So what's your fave t-shirt? Still got it? What's the story? I bet I'm going to hear some very sad stories of mothers/girlfriends/wives throwing them out or using them to polish silver or something.
