Hawksley Workman Live On Drive
You may have heard Hawksley Workman talking about his two new recordings, Meat and Milk, on Drive a couple weeks ago. It was a very brief chat, and at the end Rich promised that he'd have Hawksley back soon. Well, Rich is an honourable man and today Hawksley not only does a little more chin wagging, he also plays some songs in studio.
As for those two new releases, Workman told Rich, and Chartattack:
"Milk is a lot more of an electronic pop record. For the real electro-vibes, Milk would be the one that features that sort of thing. Meat, on the other hand, is a lot of dirtiness. The drums sound dirty, the guitars sound dirty. For the most part, Meat is a record of real musicianship, playing actual music."
And as I mentioned the last time HM was on the show -- if you are a fan, don't forget to check out Hawk Radio, a series of podcasts featuring live versions of Hawksley Workman tunes, and other stuff you can't get elsewhere.
