Alex Cuba's Hanging Out At Radio 2

Alex Cuba is hanging out at Radio 2 today. He'll be joining Tom on Radio 2 Morning, and then later today on Radio 2 Drive he and Rich are having a little listening party. (I think you have to bring your own snacks, but they're providing the tunes.)

This because today is the day Alex Cuba's new CD launches. It's just called Alex Cuba, and it's his own Cuban inspired pop blend. What is Cuban inspired pop music? Well, here's one glimpse into that:

On the new CD he's moving more into funk, rock, and soul too -- though he grew up in a small town in Cuba, his influences are eclectic.

The new release is coming at a good time for him too, since he's getting a lot more attention south of the border lately. (Co-writing eight songs for Nelly Furtado's latest, Mi Plan, doesn't hurt!) But he's still very active in Canada -- touring this November in fact.
