Jim Corcoran is one of Quebec's best loved songwriters. Since 1972, Jim has recorded over a dozen albums and performed around the world from Paris to Cairo to Drummondville! Known as a unique voice in Quebec music, he is greatly appreciated for the subtlety of his texts, the beauty of his melodies and his witty sense of humor. His latest album entitled Pages Blanches, was released in 2005 on the Audiogram label. He is also a sought-after collaborator and has written lyrics for many francophone artists, as well as for Le Cirque du Soleil.
As host of A Propos, for more than two decades now, Jim Corcoran has invited listeners to tune into CBC and discover the diversity and audacity of the francophone music scene. He has always been fascinated by francophone music in a wide variety of styles and has been following the emergence of original singer songwriters for more than thirty years.
