Concerts On Demand: The Haints Old Time String Band at the 2009 Vancouver Island MusicFest

The Haints Old Time String Band at the 2009 Vancouver Island MusicFest

Recorded: Jul. 11, 2009

Venue: Vancouver Island MusicFest, Courtenay, BC

Genres: Country, Roots/Folk/Traditional

A 'Haint' is a southern expression for a spirit or ghost. And 'The Haints' revel in the music of the past. They're an old time string trio with a fresh and dynamic sound featuring Appalachian style fiddle and banjo music, old time vocal duets, and rare classics you probably won't hear anywhere else.

Erynn Marshall, Jason Romero and Pharis Romero were right at home in the Barn at the Vancouver Island Music Festival. Canada Live was there to capture their spirited performance. Sit back, relax, and let yourself go back to a simpler time with The Haints - Old Time String Band.
