It's no exaggeration to say Pied Pumkin is one of the west coast's most important folk groups.
As the inimitable music presenter,
and radio host Steve Edge points out, "...they inspired a generation to
make another generation of folkies."
Shari
Ulrich's sweet voice and multi-instrumental abilities, Joe Mock's grounded yet
playful vocals, and Rick Scott's dulcimer playing and sheer energy combine into
a west coast folk tour de force. On this occasion, Shari's daughter, 18 year old
Julia Graff joins in briefly on violin and vocals delivering on the
multi-generational appeal of this music. Recorded at Cates Hill Chapel in the
misty green woods of Bowen Island, BC.
