Dreamsploitation may sound like some kind of therapists' convention, or in musical terms may conjure up a lush electronic orchestra. It's neither though -- in fact it's the work of one man from Nova Scotia, who when he's not going by the Dreamsploitation moniker, is called Chuck Blazevic.
The sound is very lush though, created by many many tiny samples from recordings and acoustic sources, all manipulated and, as Mr. Blazevic himself puts it: "...transposed and re-contextualized into an ultra-melodic tapestry of soft-psychedelia, b-movie orchestral back drops, dusty drums, and loud quiet sounds."

Tempo (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.) The last work ever written by Sergei Rachmaninov, the Symphonic Dances -- Mariss Jansons conducts the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Also, Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 In D Major performed by the Bach Collegium Japan and Masaaki Suzuki.
Radio 2 Drive (3 p.m.-6 p.m.) Music from Luke Doucet, Great Lake Swimmers, newly remastered classic U2, Ben Folds covering classic Cure and new music from K'Naan.
Tonic (6 p.m.) Tim continues to fill Katie's shoes on the weekday edition of the show this week, and begins this evening's programme with a whisper and a hush, tunes about beginnings, and a song with some very interesting lyrics. Do the words "You're as cuddly as a cactus" ring a bell?
Canada Live (8 p.m.) Concert 1: Jazz guitarist Cameron Latimer Concert 2: Eneida Marta performs music inspired by everyday life in Guineau Bissau.
