  A Saskatchewan MP has introduced a Private Member's Bill to add an offence to the Criminal Code, adding a charge when someone kills or injures a fetus during an attack on its mother. The man who campaigned for the law says he never intended it to become a flashpoint in a debate over abortion.

  B.C. just announced new incentives to encourage electric car ownership. But author Ozzie Zehner says electric cars are a form of denial that encourage everything that's wrong with car culture: urban sprawl, energy over consumption and community division. And, he says, they're not very clean to make.

  Bio-cremation: why burn a body when you can dissolve it?

  Up until recently, most Canadians have had limited options after death: be buried or be burned. But Dale Hilton says there is a better way, called bio-cremation. He says that once people get past the squeamishness about rapidly decomposing bodies, they will see the environmental benefits.
