Quirks Question Period: Big Brains
This is our occasional feature - the Quirks & Quarks Question Period. You think of a question, and we'll ask a Canadian scientist to tell us the answer. And today's question comes from 10-year-old Baily Kaupp in Blaketown, Newfoundland, who asks: "I want to know why people are smarter - is it because they have a bigger brain, or is it how the brain works?"
To help us answer this question, we contacted Dr. Melvyn Goodale, Director of Western University's Brain and Mind Institute in London, Ontario.
