When songwriters like Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, and Elton John cover your songs, you know you're doing something right. Ron Sexsmith counts them all among his fans, but he's not resting on his laurels. He takes on a new challenge with his first book, a fairytale called Deer Life.

Sexsmith talks about writing the book while being on the road, backstage and on tour buses, and explains how writing songs affected the way he wrote the novel.
