Toronto musician Scott Helman has just released his debut album, Hotel de Ville. The singer-songwriter sits down with Tom Power to discuss the experience of releasing his first full-length record at a time when the format is being redefined, collaborating with other musicians like Canadian superstar Shawn Mendes, and his creative approach as a songwriter.

Helman also performs his hit single, "Kinda Complicated," and other songs from his new album in the q studio with his band.
