"This is going to offend a lot of people," says q culture critic Jeet Heer, steeling himself to make this argument: Canada is boring — and, quite often, the dullness is deliberate.

"Canada has constructed a mask of boringness," says Jeet, adding the country's lacklustre, conflict averse image can be seen as a convenient facade.

q:Listen to his argument and tell us: do you agree that Canada has a sometimes politically motivated penchant for being dull? Send us your most interesting reply.
