The new series follows an African American family that runs a Memphis megachurch as they grapple with secrets and scandals. In the lead up to tonight's premiere, Virgo joins Shad to discuss the high-stakes project, the pressure of following up on his last great success, and how the show deals with thorny issues like the business side of religion, sexual abuse, and police violence.
