Reid has crowned many international superstars, including Rihanna, Pink, Outkast and TLC. And his gift crosses borders; he's brought Canadian acts like Avril Lavigne and Justin Bieber to global audiences too.

As part of q's new series The Hit Makers, Reid joins Shad to discuss his legacy as chronicled in his new book Sing to me. He shares stories household names he first met as unknowns, reflects on his proudest moments, and explains what the heck he was thinking when he let Lady Gaga slip away.
